Alkyl Ketene Dimer (Akd)

DEscriptIonAKD Plus-15 is a reactive size based on alkyl ketene dimer. It is stabilized with cationic polymer and finely emulsified, contains a higher alkyl ketene dimer content. Akd Plus-15 has been specially developped to reduce the likelihook fo size reversion and increase sizing performance for paper and paper board at neutral / alkaline conditions. With low viscosity and cationic charge, it is easily diapersed and directly reacted with cellulose fibre for better sizing degree. It can be compatible with almost retention aid systems applied in paper mills. Maximum sizing efficiency is only reached together with a good retention system which can also improve fibre, filler retention and dewatering as well.
